I'm building Regfact from Indore — currently working in the US and moving back to India this August.
Over the last 12 years, I've worked as a Product Manager building software products, and I've always wanted to build something meaningful of my own.
While exploring a move back to India, I started speaking with SEBI-registered Research Analysts and RIAs to better understand the wealth-management ecosystem. One thing became obvious very quickly: compliance was still painfully manual.
Copy-pasted disclaimers. WhatsApp screenshots saved in folders. Old recommendations impossible to trace. And a quiet anxiety before every SEBI deadline.
India already has over 1,900 SEBI-registered Research Analysts and 1,000+ RIAs — and the ecosystem continues to grow rapidly. Surprisingly, 186 of them are based right here in Indore, making it the third-largest RA hub in the country after Mumbai and Bangalore.
The enterprise players had tools. The solo RA didn't.
